It is a common human emotion to feel at times as if we have lost our way in life and have trouble understanding our place in this world, submerging in our own profound thoughts and emotions. I know I have.
Similarly, this acrylic piece aims to communicate this message. In this piece, the “face” represents a woman who is searching for her own identity and her relationship with her surroundings. In the process of searching, she becomes lost in the vast expanse of the galaxy, the galaxy being a symbol for the depths and power of her own mind. Through this process, she tries to work towards spiritual enlightenment, despite being in the dark.
