New Hampshire

A picture can take you higher than anywhere you can stand.

There is a place

in New Hampshire

called Franconia Notch.

No, I don’t know why,

or what it means--

never been.

I’ve heard it sprawls

594 metres into the sky--

a small headache mountain.

Instead, I’m trapped

looking at cracked beige walls,

at a measly 30 metres.
