SPOTLIGHT IS HERE!!!

Our first zine issue of the 2020/2021 year, SPOTLIGHT, has finally dropped!!! It's filled with AMAZING writing, photography, and art from a very talented bunch of BIPOC creatives from our team, Ryerson, and beyond! Our dedicated team of Graphic Design Illustrators designed the issue's pages under the direction of our brilliant Graphic Design Coordinator Agasha Kankunda, who also designed the cover! READ IT NOW HERE!!

To celebrate, we had a virtual zine launch party where some of our writers recited their work! The performances were so powerful; you're really going to want to hear the words come alive and uttered by the writers, themselves!

We also had some local vendors promote their work, which you can check out on our new Support Local Artists page! We HIGHLY recommend checking out their websites and social media. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED! They've got prints, embroidery, patches, bookmarks, and more! We will be adding more vendors to this page throughout the year. If you are a Ryerson or local creative who sells your own original art or creative merchandise and you'd be interested in promoting your work through The Continuist we got you! Contact us at thecontinuist@gmail.com so we can discuss getting you on our Support Local Artists page and on our social media platforms!

And, of course, we want to continue supporting and uplifting BIPOC creatives, so we ask that you consider donating or getting involved with one of these wonderful organizations!

To support local organizations dedicated to BIPOC communities:

The Black Stone Foundation Library, https://www.blackstonefoundationlibrary.org/

The Continuist is just getting started, everyone!! Stay tuned to hear about our next zine theme and other events and announcements happening throughout the year!
